Knowbly was a no-code course authoring platform that helped educators and instructional designers create interactive learning materials. I led design across both UI and brand, aiming to make rich tools feel simple, approachable, and scalable for use across K–12, higher ed, and enterprise training.
Knowbly needed to stand out in a competitive edtech space while staying approachable to users across education and enterprise. The platform offered powerful features for building interactive content, and clarity, usability, and brand voice were critical to adoption.
We designed a bright, intuitive product UI that supported both sides of the experience:
To manage complexity and promote usability, we leaned on clear visual hierarchy, modular layout systems, and reusable components. Meanwhile, the brand identity (including an octopus mascot, bright palette, and clean typography) positioned Knowbly as smart, creative, and approachable from first click to final course.
